The sculpture depicts the legendary hero of the Trojan War, Achilles, in a moment of intense emotion.

Signed on Shoulder and stamped to rear

Roux created the work around 1925 in the Art Deco style.

The original work, titled La colère d'Achille in French, opened the doors of the Villa Medici for the artist.
