A wonderfully surreal figurative work by Belgian artist Yvon Adam (1932–2017). The composition features layered and softly rendered forms in pink, red and orange tones, characteristic of Adam’s distinctive approach to the human figure.
Adam was a Belgian painter, draughtsman and engraver who trained at the Académie de Liège and later taught graphic arts in Liège from 1961–1974. His career also extended into graphic design, including work for the National Bank of Belgium.
